Posted by MTV News on January 18, 2018 03:02:25 The pilot for the highly anticipated film adaptation of the acclaimed novel by John Green has been delayed by two weeks after the film was originally slated for release this year.
The pilot was supposed to air in the fall, but that date has now been pushed back again, due to “extraordinary circumstances,” Variety has reported.
Sources tell Variety that the pilot was originally scheduled to air on January 17, but has now fallen two weeks behind schedule, which has led to a delay of two weeks.
Green, who is best known for his book The Fault in Our Stars, has been trying to raise awareness for his novel since it was released in May.
The film adaptation is currently in pre-production, and is being developed by the studio Warner Bros., and is expected to hit theaters this fall.
